What is Mesothelioma?
Mesothelioma is a cancer that can be caused by exposure to Asbestos. Most people who contract Mesothelioma have worked on building sites or other work environments where they may have worked very closely with asbestos. There is no link between smoking and Mesothelioma.
What is the affect of Mesothelioma?
Mesothelioma affects the lining of the lungs, abdomen and the heart. As the symptoms develop very slowly, many victims don’t get diagnosed until the cancer is at a late stage. Studies have shown that symptoms may not develop until 20 to 50 years after the exposure.
